Point 2 for Healthy Pets

Opened in 2006, Point 2 For Healthy Pets is the “office next door” from our flagship office that has occupied the Reynolds Street block since the practice’s inception.  Point 2 For Healthy Pets started as a location to allow our practice to expand, giving more space for routine examinations, wellness visits, vaccinations, and minor illnesses.  In time, though, it was apparent that this would be the ideal location to integrate other aspects of veterinary medicine that can complement our traditional western medical practices, including chiropractic care and acupuncture. 

All of Point 2 is connected to the same medical records system, so your pet’s medical records are easily accessible and always updated between both offices.  The treatment area, located just behind the exam rooms, is an ideal place for consultations with our chiropractor, Dr. Dina LiVolsi.  Chiropractic care may be recommended by your regular Point Breeze veterinarian as an adjunctive therapy for many different reasons, and is one modality that can provide relief of pain and management of musculoskeletal and other systemic conditions. 

Further back in the office, you will find our comfort room, which is designed to be most like a home environment.   It is ideal for pets that need a little extra time and space or who might be adverse to traditional exam rooms.  It also gives larger groups (family or friends) an opportunity to have the space and privacy necessary to properly say good-bye to their beloved pets in a quiet, peaceful setting.  However, it is primarily used for our patients that are working with Dr. Christie Schroth in acupuncture treatment plans.  Dr. Schroth is a certified veterinary acupuncturist, and is able to add this therapy into traditional medicine to complement the care that your pet receives.  She sees appointments for acupuncture on Wednesdays and Fridays, and works with skilled veterinary technicians to develop and carry out this complementary medicine service.
